We’re thrilled to announce our new Board & Train package, a comprehensive 10-day training program at our Sunset location. This intensive, personalized program is tailored to your dog’s specific needs, ensuring focused and consistent learning. We believe in the importance of consistency and aim to return your dog home as soon as possible, fully prepared for success.

At DOGMAN Training, we’re dedicated to achieving long-term success in your dog’s training journey.

Our Package Includes:

  • 10 consecutive days of focused training
  • Competency of 2-3 key commands
  • 2 follow-up sessions (1 hour each)
  • Luxury daycare and crate-free boarding
  • Gentle leader/leash provided
  • Custom-sized cot

*Optional Add-On: Potty/crate training available

Free Initial Phone Consultation

Our process starts with a complimentary phone consultation. During this call, you’ll share your concerns and describe any behavioral issues your dog is facing. We’ll listen carefully and offer initial insights into canine behavior and communication.

This conversation achieves several goals:

  • Provide preliminary advice and insights on dog behavior.
  • Determine the best approach for your dog’s training needs.
  • Introduce you to our training philosophy and methods.
 

This no-obligation call is the first step in creating a partnership to enhance your relationship with your dog and lays the groundwork for our comprehensive training program.

Behavioral Assessment and Temperament Evaluation

At Dogman, our Behavioral Assessment and Temperament Evaluation are key components of our hybrid Board & Train program. This thorough evaluation helps us determine your dog’s suitability for the program and ensures they are placed in the right environment for optimal learning and socialization.

The assessment includes:

  • Social Stability Check: We observe how your dog interacts with other dogs and people to identify any signs of aggression, anxiety, or fear.
  • Behavioral Indicators: We assess for behaviors such as lunging, growling, snapping, or signs of nervousness, which could impact their experience in our program.
  • Fit for Training: We evaluate how well your dog can adapt to training and group interactions, ensuring they are comfortable and ready for the program’s structure.
 

This evaluation helps us place your dog in an environment that matches their social needs, ensuring a safe and supportive setting for their training journey. By grouping dogs with similar personalities, we foster a positive experience and minimize potential risks, setting the stage for successful training and integration.

Immersive Board and Train Experience

Once your dog is enrolled, the structured training begins. For 10 consecutive days, your dog will:

  • Receive daily one-on-one training sessions targeting 2–3 core behaviors
  • Practice skills in real-world scenarios around other dogs and people
  • Enjoy stress-free boarding and pack play for enrichment and balance
  • Benefit from consistent routines and gentle, relationship-based training

We document their progress and make small adjustments to match their learning style and pace.

Family Training and Reintegration

At the end of the 10-day training period, we’ll conduct a comprehensive 1-hour session with your family to:

  • Demonstrate the commands and behaviors your dog has learned
  • Teach you how to reinforce the training at home
  • Address any lingering questions or concerns
  • Ensure you feel confident handling your dog’s new skills

We believe your success is just as important as your dog’s.

Follow-Up Support and Coaching

To help you maintain the progress and prevent regression, we include a second 1-hour follow-up
session after your dog returns home (within 3 weeks). This final step allows us to:

  • Observe how your dog is adjusting to their home environment
  • Fine-tune commands and communication as needed
  • Offer tips for long-term consistency and ongoing development
  • Celebrate your wins and keep your momentum going
